International Baccalaureate (IBMYP)

International Baccalaureate - (IBMYP) The MYP (Middle Years Programme) is a five-year educational program designed by the IBO (International Baccalaureate Organization) for the education of students aged from 11 to 16 (Y7-Y11 or equivalent). It is an innovative education program with unique characteristics that are distinct from more traditional systems. The MYP method has a more holistic approach, with no subject taught in isolation, but all interrelated and part of a larger whole. There are five Areas of Interaction (A01) in the MYP: Approaches to Learning (ATL), Community Service, Health and Social Education, Environment and Homo Faber. This means, for example, that a mathematics or science lesson may require students to consider issues in the wider society and write about them in clear, concise English.

Here at NTK, we have educators who have undergone official IBO workshop training in teaching the MYP. We have exceptional understanding of how the MYP works on the whole and at the individual subject level in general and individual subjects in particular. We know the difficulties that certain aspects of the MYP marking criteria can cause students. With our personal, interactive approach, NTK gives students a better understanding of the MYP and a definite advantage at school.

NTK has more than ten years of experience in helping students realize their potential and is the only educational center in Hong Kong that has officially accredited staff and the know-how to undertake the distinctive requirements of the MYP
Our MYP courses are designed to develop the key techniques and ideas which underlie the distinctive MYP approach to math and science subjects.
