Admission NTK reserves the right to refuse the admission of any student who, in its opinion, is detrimental to the general welfare of the school. NTK reserves the right to discontinue a student's enrollment at any time for poor attendance, non-payment or underpayment of tuition, or disruptive behavior. NTK operates a space-available policy in allocating places and reserves the right to release the reservation to other students after the deadline. Full payment must be received prior to the indicated deadline. Lesson Reservations Individual lessons : depends on the availability of our teachers but no same day reservation will be accepted. Students are required to confirm their lessons at least two days in advance. Courses : course are available on a space-available basis, students are required to confirm at least two hours in advance. Courses Students are encouraged to attend all enrolled sessions in order to keep up with the teaching progress and to meet our high standards. Progress Reports are sent to students who have achieved an attendance of 75% or above (e.g. 9 out of 12 lessons). All course transfer must be made through the Admissions Office and are subject to the approval of the Director. A handling fee of HK$200 will be charged for each course-to-course transfer. Students enrolled after the start of the semester will be charged on a pro-rata basis for the duration of the semester. Some students may have to take make up classes as judged necessary by the school. The number of make up classes will be determined by NTK and will be considered as one-to-one tuition. NTK reserves the right to change the class teachers as seen appropriate without prior notice. Payment NTK offers the following convenient payment options : cash, cheque, money order, Visa or Master Card. Post-dated cheques are not acceptable. All payments received, including voluntary withdrawal, are non-refundable unless applicant is denied admission. Payments made for courses cannot be transferred to individual lessons and vice versa. Cancellation NTK does not offer make-up classes or refunds for missed classes due to a student's inability to attend such as school activities, field trips, schedule clashes etc.. Parents and students should check their schedules carefully before signing up. Typhoon NTK will be closed when typhoon signal No. 8 or above, or black rainstorm warning is hoisted and will resume classes two hours after the warning is lowered or removed. At times a typhoon increases in intensity or a rainstorm signal is raised while the children are at school. If this happens, NTK must dismiss the students before the end of the regular class, parents will be contacted with the approximate new dismissal time. If it is necessary that NTK be closed and lessons be cancelled due to weather conditions, classes will be rescheduled and the details be posted on our message board. No refunds, transfers, credits or further make-up classes will be offered if a student cannot attend the scheduled make-up class for whatever reasons. Parents are advised to use their best judgment in determining whether to send their children to school whenever the weather is inclement or road conditions make travel to school unwise. In no event shall NTK be liable for any damages, losses or injuries of any kind, whether direct, incidental or consequential, in or out of class.
